What Valencia offers as a sailing base.
Valencia sits on the Spanish Mediterranean coast, roughly 100 nm from Ibiza and with open water immediately to the east. It is a practical base: good airport connections, a working marina with proper facilities, and sailing that begins as soon as you clear the harbour entrance.
The waters around Valencia are a mix of coastal sailing — headlands, small bays, stretches of open coast — and the starting point for passages to the Balearics. For a week-long programme, you can stay coastal and cover meaningful ground, or extend to Ibiza in two to three days of sailing depending on conditions and wind.
As a base for Nyota, Valencia is where many of the Mediterranean programmes depart from. Joining logistics are straightforward: fly into Valencia airport, transfer to the marina.

Coastal sailing
The Valencia coast offers day sails north and south with varied headlands, harbour approaches, and open-coast passages. Good for boat handling, manoeuvring practice, and getting comfortable with the boat before pushing further.
Passage to the Balearics
A Cruising programme from Valencia can include a passage to Ibiza or Mallorca — typically 12–18 hours depending on the wind. That leg introduces overnight sailing and passage management within a coastal programme.
Joining and departing
Valencia Airport has good connections from across Europe. The marina is a 20-minute taxi from the terminal. If your programme starts or ends in Valencia, the logistics are simple.
