Good sailing. If you approach it right.

Ibiza has a coastline of about 60 nautical miles with a mix of exposed and sheltered bays, a varied seabed, and wind patterns influenced by the island’s topography. In the right season and with the right timing, the sailing is genuinely good — clear water, manageable swell on the sheltered coasts, and anchorages that require real technique to use well.

The challenge is that Ibiza attracts the highest density of charter boats in the Balearics in summer. Popular bays are crowded from July to August. That makes anchoring practice realistic — but it also means timing and anchorage selection are part of the coaching conversation from the start.

We use Ibiza within broader Balearic programmes when the timing works. It is rarely the sole focus of a week’s sailing — more often a leg of a larger programme that moves between islands.
